What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
When we did the audience interviews about what we should base our trailer on we decided to ask the following questions:
The first question we asked was what makes a good horror movie? When we asked this question they all said similar kind of stuff such as suspense and want it to be jumpy. This will be good because there will be good build ups in the trailer making people really tense when they are watching it. We have also asked questions such as what horror movies do you like? and What sort of deaths do you like and would you watch a slasher movie? We asked all of these because it's really important to know what type of horror movies people liked to watch and by finding out what the audience like about different horrors and trailers. These concepts will make the a BlockBuster movie.

How could we improve:
The colours on our trailer needs to be lighter
The pose isn't aggressive enough it looks like a poster for a vampire film.
The text at the bottom should come up in to the black gap a bit more so there isn't a massive space.
there should be a dead body lying down in the back ground.

We wanted to find out what thoughts our audience had about our trailer we did this by sitting them down and recording there reactions when they were watching the trailer. The people who watched our trailer and gave us feedback about it are all above the age of 17 and they all either go to sixth form college or university. One of the people we asked in the questionnaire about the trailer said that they liked the story line because it is different to any other regular horror film story line. This was what we aimed for as a group because we knew this would capture the audiences eyes so this feedback means we have done well and we reached our goal. One question we felt was important to for great feedback was what was good and what was bad about our trailer. This question helps out massively.
Ryan really like our trailer. He said he likes the sound and the pace of our trailer which is good because that is one of the things we was working very hard on and it took us a long time to get it right but in the end we managed to get it all correct. The person that wrote this comment is 18 years old which shows it attracts our younger audience
19 year old, Chloe Hayden commented and said she like our trailer because it has a different storyline to any other horror film. This is really good news for us as a group because one of the first things we wanted to do is to come up with something knew so that our audience don't feel like they are watching something they have seen before. This means people like Chloe can watch our trailer and then alert other people about it because she likes it which help with advertisement. We are happy about this comment because it shows that our trailer is attracting a female audience as well when usually horror movies tend to attract more males since they are meant to be less scared of horror films.
This person said that our trailer had good one liners. This would be the voice over in the trailer when talking about the making everything perfect. However they said the trailer was a bit repetitive which could be to many gym shots or possibly the music.
The person above said we used demonic background music which we like because this sort of music will make the trailer scary. They also liked the setting which was in the gym and then we kept shooting out and then back in it. One way we could prove it was to make it not so repetitive.
One of the thing we wanted to do in our trailer was make a difference in pace. We made the start of our trailer slow to build suspense and then we suddenly sped the whole thing up. Its good when they said they liked the fact that our trailer was fast and intense because now we know it has made an impact on the audience. This person said that our trailer was to focused on the character.
This person gave really good comments and was really impressed by our trailer. He or she said that our trailer was better then all of the rest which means a lot because we worked hard on it and we are happy that it all paid of.
This person gave us good feedback when they said they liked the music we picked to put in our trailer. This is also good feedback because it gives us pointers on how to improve the trailer if we were to do it again meaning we would change these things to get more people to like it and to make it more appropriate for a younger age.
This person said that we had a good plot which is good because we had to change the plot quite a lot because when we was trying to use our old ideas they just wasn't woking so we are glad people are saying that this was a good idea and it worked. They said that we should of added more music in to the background. Our trailer has music over the whole thing but we possibly could of added more music over the top of the music we already have to build suspense a bit more.
We really liked the fact that this person said that our trailer was fairly professional because we wanted to try and make this trailer as professional as possible and one way we managed to do this was by using good camera angles and good lighting with good sounds as well. They said it wasn't very scary which for some people it wouldn't be because the trailer has a very quick pace to it meaning there isn't enough tension to build up for it to be that scary.
Conclusion
Overall, we have learnt that our trailer is liked by the target audience we aimed for, we know this because of the comments we have received from a wide range of the public. We think that we have done the best we could have possibly done with the time and the equipment that we have available to us. As a group we feel like the best thing about our trailer was the editing because it was done so perfectly and timed so well. Non of the audience we asked had anything bad to say about our editing which meant a lot to the group because of the amount of time that was spent on it. We have also learnt that we could have made a few more improvements to the trailer if we had more time which would enable us to find better locations and do more realistic make up to make it even more of a slasher but overall we are happy about the comments that the audience have made about our trailer and we feel like we have achieved our goals and aims we made before the start of the production.
